YOUR PRIVACY

We take your privacy seriously. Protecting your personal information is as important to us as the quality of the tools we build.

We will never sell your personal information. Not to data brokers, not to marketing lists, not to anyone. We are a small, independent company in Los Angeles, California - we make titanium gear, not data products.

We collect the minimum we need to take your order, ship it, support it for life, and improve the way this website works. Nothing more.

If you ever have a problem or a concern about any of this, just let us know and we will fix it.

WHAT WE COLLECT

When you place an order: your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, the details of your purchase including any custom engraving text, and your payment information - which goes directly to our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.

When you use this website: the pages you visit, how long you stay, where you arrived from, your device, browser and operating system, your approximate location at city level from your IP address, and how you move through pages through clicks, scrolling and taps.

When you sign up for our newsletter: your email address, and your name if you provide it.

SESSION RECORDING

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how people actually use this site. Clarity records anonymized playback of browsing sessions - mouse movement, scrolling, clicks and taps. We use it to find broken and confusing things. It is how we discovered that our mobile checkout button was sitting below the fold, and how we found a contact button that silently did nothing.

Clarity masks text input by default, so what you type into forms is not captured. Recordings are not linked to your name or your order, and we never use them to identify individual people.

You can opt out of Clarity by enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser - with GPC on, Clarity does not start and nothing is recorded. To be straight with you: Clarity does not respond to Do Not Track signals, and private browsing does not prevent recording, it only prevents us recognizing you on a return visit.

ANALYTICS AND ADVERTISING

We use a small number of analytics and advertising services to understand how this site performs and to measure our marketing. Depending on what we are running at the time, these may include Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Google Ads, Google Merchant Center, Pinterest, and Meta (Facebook and Instagram). Each receives some information about your visit.

The services active right now are listed near the end of this policy, under "Services active right now." We update that list when it changes.

Put plainly: if you visit this site, you may later see our ads elsewhere on the web. That is done with advertising cookies, not by handing over your name or email address.

For California residents: California law defines "sale" and "sharing" broadly enough that advertising cookies of this kind may fall inside those definitions, even though no money changes hands and we sell nothing. You can switch this off - see Your Rights below.

WHO WE SHARE INFORMATION WITH

We share only what is necessary, and only with companies that need it to do a job for us. Squarespace hosts this website and our store. Stripe and PayPal process payments. ShipStation and the carriers USPS, UPS and DHL print labels and deliver your order. Google provides analytics, advertising, Shopping listings, address autocomplete at checkout, and Google Customer Reviews survey emails. Microsoft provides Clarity analytics. If we are running Meta advertising at the time, Meta receives information about your visit through its advertising pixel.

Google Customer Reviews: if you opt in at checkout, Google emails you a short survey after delivery. That requires sharing your email address and order details with Google. It is entirely optional and is off unless you choose it.

Address autocomplete: as you type your address at checkout, this site may share what you type with the Google Places API in order to suggest completions.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights, safety or property.

COOKIES

We use cookies to keep your cart working, to remember you between visits, and to measure the things described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them entirely will break the shopping cart.

YOUR RIGHTS

Wherever you live, you may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, delete your information, send you a copy in a portable format, or stop using it for marketing and advertising.

If you are in the EU, UK or EEA, you also have the right to object to processing, to restrict it, and to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. Our legal bases are performing our contract with you for orders, your consent for the newsletter and analytics cookies, and our legitimate interests in fraud prevention and improving the site.

If you are in California, you have the rights above plus the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We will never discriminate against you for exercising any of them.

HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

Order records are kept as long as we need them to support the product, which - given our lifetime warranty - may be indefinitely. Analytics data is retained on the schedules set by Google and Microsoft, typically 14 to 26 months. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe, which you can do from any email we send.

SECURITY

Payments are encrypted and handled by our payment processors. We never see or store full card numbers. This entire site is served over HTTPS.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS

We ship worldwide, so your information may be processed in the United States and in other countries whose data protection laws differ from your own. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent safeguards through our service providers.

CHILDREN

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
